Jerrica Benton, alter ego of Jem the rock star, must raise enough money to keep Starlight House, the foster home she runs, operating. She enters a music video contest to win the money she needs. Of course Jem’s rival Pizzazz, alter ego to Phyllis Margaret Gabor, shows up to steal Jem’s place in the contest and the money! Instead of giving up Jem decides to sing with Pizzazz and steals the show. Jem is awarded the prize and as usual Pizzazz is furious.
